On a hot day at EPCOT, the line at the France pavilion’s slush kiosk tells you what everyone wants: the Grand Marnier Orange Slush. It’s been a World Showcase favorite for years, and it shows up on every “best Disney drinks” list. It’s a frozen orange drink served in a clear cup that you carry around the lagoon.
What Disney Serves
The slush is sold at Les Vins des Chefs de France, the outdoor kiosk in the France pavilion. Disney’s menu describes it as Grand Marnier, rum, Grey Goose Orange and orange juice, frozen. There’s also a bigger “Le Géant” size with an extra shot of Grand Marnier or citron.
Prices go up regularly. A third-party menu tracker shows the regular slush increasing from $14.95 to $15.75 on October 1, 2026, with Le Géant at $19.95. Disney prices change often, so check the My Disney Experience app.
Why Home Versions Taste Watery
The kiosk uses a slush machine, which freezes the mixture slowly and evenly. A blender adds a lot of ice to a small amount of liquid, which dilutes the flavor. Most copycats taste like faintly orange ice.
The fix is frozen orange juice concentrate, used straight from the can. Two tablespoons add concentrated orange flavor and sweetness that holds up to the ice. That’s the difference between a pale, watery slush and the bright orange flavor you get at EPCOT.
Three Kinds of Orange
The drink tastes so intensely orange because it uses orange flavor three ways:
- Grand Marnier — cognac with bitter orange: deep, slightly caramel.
- Orange vodka — clean, zesty and aromatic.
- Orange juice plus concentrate — fresh, sweet fruit.
Rum adds a little roundness without its own flavor taking over. Use a clean white rum.
The Technique
Liquids in first, then ice. Start the blender on low to break the ice, then switch to high for 30–45 seconds. You want a fine, even texture like a frozen lemonade, not chunks of ice. Adjust with a splash of juice if it’s too thick or a few cubes if it’s too thin.
The No-Blender Method
To match the slush-machine texture even more closely, skip the blender. Mix the spirits, juice and concentrate (without ice) in a shallow freezer-safe container and freeze for 4–6 hours, scraping with a fork every hour. The alcohol keeps it from freezing solid, so you end up with a fine, scoopable slush. It’s also the best way to make several drinks at once.
Make It “Le Géant”
For the bigger version, float an extra half-ounce of Grand Marnier on top. It sinks in amber streaks and makes the first sips stronger and richer.
The Mocktail Version
Without the liqueur, you lose the perfumed orange aroma, and that’s what separates this drink from frozen orange juice. Two tricks bring it back: twist an orange peel over the blender so its oils go in, and add two drops of orange blossom water. A squeeze of lemon adds the brightness the alcohol would. It’s a great frozen drink for kids, too.
Serving
Drink it while walking around the World Showcase, or at home on a hot afternoon with a croissant or a Mickey pretzel.
Quick Fixes
- Watery flavor? Add another tablespoon of frozen concentrate.
- Chunky? Blend longer on high, or use crushed ice.
- Too sweet? Add a squeeze of lemon. It brightens the orange without adding more alcohol.
- Want it stronger, like Le Géant? Float ½ oz Grand Marnier on top after pouring instead of adding more to the blender. The float keeps the slush from going soft.
Enjoy responsibly — must be 21+.
